Evolution Transformed is a fashion inspired installation created by Alexandra Hart, Elina Sheripova, Kathy Taylor and Henry Young. This exhibit is part of Art Meets Fashion, a countywide project organized by the San Diego Visual Arts Network (SDVAN) and FOCUS (Fashion Opportunities Connect Us). The project’s goal is to initiate collaborations between fashion designers and visual artists.

This latest exhibition at Visions Art Quilt Gallery introduces us to a distinctly male perspective on the art of the quilt. It is interesting to see how the heritage of quilting inspires artists to move in startling new directions and yet their work still reflects the roots of the art form.

This exhibition features selected pieces from a group of contemporary fiber artists who regularly exhibit work internationally. It will run from February 1 to March 23, with an opening reception February 1, from 5 to 7pm.
