Breakout: Quilt Visions 2016

Breakout: Quilt Visions 2016 is the 14th international juried exhibition produced by the Visions Art Museum: Contemporary Quilts + Textiles (VAM). The exhibition will be presented at Visions Art Museum in San Diego, California. The jurors will select work that exemplifies innovation in quilting and surface design techniques as well as excellence in composition and craftsmanship. A full color exhibition catalog will be published.

Inspired by the Masters, Jane Dunnewold

Jane Dunnewold is a professional artist, teacher, and author of Art Cloth: A Guide to Surface Design on Fabric, Complex Cloth and Art Cloth. She teaches and lectures internationally, and maintains Jane Dunnewold Studios, a studio and retreat center in the historic district of San Antonio, Texas.

Sue Kamin: Forty Years of Natural Baskets

Sue Kmin started making baskets in the fall of 1976 in Misti Washington’s class. This is an exhibit to show how far she’s come in Natural Basketry. There will be an assortment of basket techniques made from different natural fibers, including pine needles, palm, horsehair, and lauhala.
