Recycled Circles ~ fabric class

Monday, April 9th, 9:00-4:00, $100
Visions Art Museum: Contemporary Quilts + Textiles

Create a fabulous, unique art quilt from your cloth scraps. Jane's Recycled Circles is a layered project that requires you to be spontaneous and creative, in this guided, yet totally one of a kind artwork. Each student's work will look very, very different, even though we're all doing the same step-by-step process. The class is especially great for beginners, as you just can't go wrong! Also, it's a great introduction to art quilting for more traditional quilters. And, the technique is translatable to larger work, collaborative projects or mixed media with paper.
Jane wrote about this technique in "Cloth Paper Scissors" magazine [March 2009 issue].

  • Fabric: fat quarters will be fine. At least 8 different fabrics, coordinating colors with accent fabrics (one of the fabrics will be your background.)
